This helps with dry eyes when traveling

Travelling is an often underestimated problem for the eyes. After all, hardly anyone thinks about the stress the eyes can be exposed to while on holiday. Air-conditioning in the hotel, chlorine in the pool, the rough sea air as well as sun and sand can irritate sensitive eyes and dry them out. However, you can prevent this with these tips!

Tips for travelling

Air conditioning is everywhere: on the plane, in the hotel, in the restaurant, in shops. In the hotel room, you can usually turn off the air conditioner when your eyes start to burn and itch. On the plane, make sure the fan is not pointed at your eyes. The same applies to car journeys. Lubricating eye drops are a good precautionary measure to protect your eyes from drying out while you are on the road or to alleviate existing discomfort. Wearing sunglasses with UV protection helps against the sun at the holiday destination and also protects against strong winds at the beach. To avoid irritating your eyes even more when swimming in the pool, we recommend swimming goggles - or you can avoid diving altogether. Above all, don't forget to drink plenty of fluids. Sweating causes the body to lose a lot of fluid, which urgently needs to be replenished.
