HYLO NIGHT®

Air conditioning (e.g. in a car or plane), wind, cold, strong sunlight, bad air or cigarette smoke can cause burning or itching eyes, with a feeling of dryness or a foreign-body sensation in the eye. But these symptoms can also occur as a result of concentrated gazing, e.g. during sustained computer work, while watching television for a long time or while driving at night. The risk of these problems is even greater if contact lenses are worn. HYLO NIGHT® relieves these symptoms and forms a soothing, long-lasting protective film on the eyes. The ointment's lipid-rich consistency leads to a slight impairment of visual acuity, which is why HYLO NIGHT® should be used primarily before going to bed. HYLO NIGHT® can also prevent symptoms when you open your eyes for the first time in the morning.

HYLO NIGHT® should be dosed individually according to your symptoms and the recommendation of your ophthalmologist/pharmacist. With a strong feeling of dryness of the eyes, the ointment is usually applied 3 times a day. HYLO NIGHT® can be used in addition to moisturising eye drops by placing a small drop of ointment in the conjunctival sac once a day before bedtime. To make sure that everything goes smoothly, follow these step-by-step instructions:

Step 1: Remove the protective cap before use.

Step 2: Tilt your head back slightly and gently pull the lower eyelid away from your eye with your finger.

Step 3: With the other hand hold the tube in an upright position above the eye. Instil one strip of eye ointment into the conjunctival sac by gently squeezing the tube.

Step 4: Slowly close your eyelids.

Step 5: Close the tube again carefully after use.

HYLO NIGHT® must not be used while wearing contact lenses.

The vitamin A contained in HYLO NIGHT® is a natural component of the tear film, which promotes the good tolerance of the ointment and ensures that it mixes well with the natural tears. This relieves the feeling of having burning, dry or tired eyes, and your eyelids glide smoothly over the cornea and conjunctiva.

HYLO NIGHT® is available as a single pack (5 g). You can use the eye ointment for 6 months after opening.
